How to save a webpage for Offline reading

Why save a complete page so that I can read it later? Well, there are many possible reasons. May be you discover interesting websites that you want to read, but you are busy in some work, when you are travelling, you can’t be online for all time due to network or you want to store some useful information which may be useful in emergency. Then in all such cases we want to save these pages for later reading. So here are some methods –

Use Save As to save Web Pages on computer from Your Browser

This is the traditional method for saving webpage to your pc.  Just open up your browser, navigate to the page, and go to File > Save Page As. Save it as "Web Page, Complete" somewhere in your documents. Now in this folder a HTML file is created with images and other data which are in that web page. Jusst double click on HTML file and you can access.

Saving Complete Webpages As PDF

We can save complete webpage for latter reading by saving them as PDF. For that we need a simple small software dopdf. With the doPDF, just give print command on the webpage you want to save- select the doPDF printer and set location to save. Read detail about doPDF from here.


Pocket is free service which lets you save any articles, videos or pretty much anything. You can save anything directly from your browser or from apps like Twitter, Flipboard, Pulse and Zite. To do this you have one Pocket account and then save anything from web and when you have time, you can access the Pocket Web app read the articles you've saved on computer. Also you can access Pocket even on phone or tablet also and for that you don’t even need and Internet connection. In the second method you can email the URL to your private account for later reading.

Just install the Instapaper bookmarklet by dragging it to your bookmark bar, When you find something you want to read, but you don't have the time, click the bookmarklet and read anytime.
